Tues., April 20: Video Project Overview and Planning

As a routine practice for the remainder of the course begin class by doing the following:
1. Check your iGoogle page or Google Reader to see what else has been happening in the project
2. Follow a couple of the links in your Google Alerts and tag/save/share them to the NetGenEd group using Diigo
If you're not getting the results you want in your Google Alert, adjust your search terms

For today, refer to the lesson plan from last Friday and complete any of the steps 1-10 that you did not complete then.

Striking a Balance: what are creative ways you could present your topic/sub-topic while also addressing your essential questions?

Thurs., April 22: Storyboarding

Start working on your storyboards. You may use one that we looked at last class or find your own that works best for you but don't let that keep you from beginning the work!
Tips: Remember to think about the whole picture-voiceovers, camera angle, dialogue, shots (close ups).
Tips: Remember that you will be getting an outsourced video clip and mashing it into your video, so keep that in mind when you are storyboarding. (What might you want/need from someone else in another country?)

As part of each of your videos you need to outsource from at least one member of your topic team. (for instance: Open Content)
How and who can I ask for outsourcing help? Through the NetGenEd Wiki you can ask for specific help from a topic or team member.
Outsourcing

Mon., April 26 - Fri., April 30

This week is state mandated testing week (TAKS). We will meet periodically throughout the week but these will serve as check-ins and will not allow for much major time to work on your video submissions or storyboards. During this week you will have two objectives: collecting images and creating voiceovers as well as responding to outsourcing requests.

Tues., May 4

Lending out for requests and Making Movie Magic!

Choosing an Outsourcing request: Today you need to each choose a feasible outsourcing request that you can film during the period and then post. This process should not take the whole period becaues the remainder of the period you will spend either filming or putting together your movie for submission.

Much of the filming depending on your choice of scenery etc. will most likely have to take place outside of class. In which case you are more than welcome to bring in your personal laptop or jumpdrive or create a page on the 21st Century Global Leadership Wiki to store and transfer video footage or store and transfer through Google docs. You will then be asked to use classtime to edit footage and garner feedback from your classmates and teachers. Remember your video submissions must be content rich and informative as well as creative. We are here to help and you have access to a range of formats to access information. (NetEdGen Wiki, Grown Up Digital Ning, 21st Century Global Leadership Wiki) Don't make lack of information what holds you back!

Thurs., May 6

Upload Uproar!
We are going to have an uploading party! Our videos in completion :) will be uploaded for submission on this day.

Monday., May 10

The deadline has been extended
